Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare debuts at No.1 in November digital charts

The latest Call of Duty title, Infinite Warfare, topped SuperData’s digital charts in November, but with a rather narrow lead.

Activision’s FPS generated 12.90m in the UK for its first month in the rankings, SuperData reports, while FIFA 17, which landed at No.2, had revenue reaching 11.27m. The two titles were seperated by 1.6m.

Sales for the football behemoth were up compared to October – FIFA 17’s digital revenue was then 8.85m. This will partially be sales boosted by the Black Friday sales period this November. This figure will also be elevated by consumers spending money in FIFA’s Ultimate Team mode.

Battlefield 1 landed at No.3, with revenue far behind the leaders, as EA’s title generated 4.02m. For its second month in SuperData’s charts, sales for the game were down 26 per cent compared to October.

At No.4 was another EA title: FIFA 16, which, despite having released well over a year ago and having to compete with the new entry in the franchise, still had revenue hitting 3.12m. Same goes for Call of Duty: Black Ops III (No.5), which generated 2.93m this November.

Meanwhile, Watch Dogs 2 debuted at No.8 with revenue reaching 2.41m. It should be noted that Ubisoft’s hacking title launched mid-November, so this figure is actually what the game made in 15 days.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare made a difficult debut in the High Street this November, with sales nearly 50 per cent down compared to Black Ops III for its first week in the UK. And the title has apparentlysuffered from the same issues in the US.But Infinite Warfaremanaged to take back its No.1 spot in the UKthis week.
