Codies: Big changes planned for F1 2011

Next year’s iteration of Codemasters’ F1 racing franchise will build upon the success of this year’s game, with the publisher promising more than just some incremental updates to keep it up to date with the latest F1 season.

CEO Rod Cousens told MCV that F1 2011 will definitely not be a few new tracks and a few new drivers”, adding that Codemasters is looking to extend the brand in the new year with a browser game and a game on all mainstream formats aimed at very young kids”.

He also revealed that the franchise will debut on new handhelds next year. Yep, he used the plural. So 3DS, yes, and PSP2, too, presumably.
