ESL app arrives on Xbox One

An app dedicated to eSports specialist Electronic Sports League (ESL) is now available on Xbox One.

It allows users to watch live eSports events either on the TV or on a second screen. Gamers can also use it to find potential opponents and swap contact information so they can connect for multiplayer matches.

Tournaments can be signed up for within the app, offering the chance to eventually enter ESL Major Tournaments, with potential prizes up for grabs.

The ESL app is available in the UK, US and a number of other European territories.

Sony earlier this month unveiled its own eSports platform the Official PlayStation League.
