Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn offers free PS3-PS4 switch

Square Enix has offered a generous freebie to console Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn players.

The publisher says that it will allow those who buy the game on PS3 to switch to the PS4 version for free.

Note that the beta for the PS4 version won’t go live until Saturday February 22nd – the same day that PS4 is released in Japan.

Those who are currently playing the PS3 version of FFXIV: ARR will not have to re-buy the game on PS4 and will be able to transition to playing on PS4 at no additional cost,” a statement confirmed.

They will even be able to carry over their character data and continue playing on the new platform.
