Free Gears of War 3 DLC inbound

Gears of War 3 owners will be able to download a free map pack on November 24th, Epic Games has confirmed.

The Versus Booster Map Pack will include five maps for online play – including Bullet Marsh and Clocktower from the original Gears of War game. The other three are from the Horde Command Pack which went live on November 1st. These are Azura, Rustlung and Blood Drive.

Gamers will be able to play all five maps via public matchmaking over dedicated servers.

Another expansion pack, RAAM’s Shadow, will be available to download on December 13th for 1,200 Microsoft Points. This includes six new multiplayer characters, a new weapon set and single-player missions.

Gears of War 3 was released on September 20th for Xbox 360. It is published by Microsoft and developed by Epic.
