Gran Turismo 5 and Resistance trilogy servers going offline

PS3 owners will soon find the online features of some key titles are no longer available.

Sony has confirmed that the online servers for Gran Turismo 5 will be taken offline on May 20th 2014.

Before that, however, the online servers for Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2 and Resistance 3 will all be deactivated on March 28th.

On January 28th four other titles will also have their online features disabled – Pain, MAG, SOCOM: Special Forces and SOCOM: Confrontation. Note that both MAG and Confrontation lack single player modes, meaning the games will effectively be killed.

Previous PS3 games to have their online features disabled include Calling All Cars, The Eye of Judgement, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, MotorStorm, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, Race Driver GRID, White Knight Chronicles and the whole of the Buzz series.
