JAPAN: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 dated

The latest adventure in the digital life of the bad-tempered Ryu Hayabusa, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, will be released for PS3 in Japan on October 1st, it has been confirmed.

NGS2 is a reworked version of Xbox 360 exclusive Ninja Gaiden II and includes a host of new additions such as online co-op play, new characters and sharpened camera controls. It’s being developed by Tecmo’s Team Ninja.

Kotaku reports that the game will cost YEN 7,800. Those who pre-order it will receive a guide book and exclusive DLC.

There’s no word yet on a European release date, but an Japanese October release could just leave enough time for an all-important pre-Christmas arrival over here.
