Kinect gets first ‘adult’ title

Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect will take a small step in the traditional heartland of gaming later this year when the device receives it’s first adult-rated title.

Sega’s Rise of Nightmares has been granted an M (mature) certificate in North America. It has already been granted a BBFC 18 rating in the UK, VG247 reports.

A man screams loudly as spikes impale his body," the M rating guidelines explain. "A restrained character’s hand is chopped off before he is killed.”

Rise of Nightmares is a survival horror title that has been designed specifically for use with the Kinect motion sensor.

The game is due out some time later this year.
