LEGO The Hobbit gets release date

Warner Bros has given LEGO The Hobbit an April release date.

The publisher told Eurogamer that the title will be coming to UK stores on April 11th. It will cover the events of the first two Hobbit films – no plans have been revealed for adapting the final part of The Hobbit trilogy of films.

This announcement comes off the back of a very good few weeks for the LEGO games following the release of The LEGO Movie. In this week’s Top 40 chart, nine entries were LEGO titles, five of which were published by Warner Bros.

Earlier this week, Sony announced a PlayStation 3 and LEGO The Hobbit bundle in North America, though there is no word about this coming out in the UK.

The LEGO Hobbit will be coming out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, 3DS, PS Vita and PC.
