Chris Satchell keynote and first day XNA sessions to be available for free

Microsoft to webcast Gamefest sessions

Microsoft will be providing a free video stream of select sessions from its game technology conference Gamefest, which takes place from August 13th to 14th.

In addition to the keynote from XNA team head Chris Satchell that starts the conference, the first day’s talks from the XNA Game Studio track will be available for free. Sessions include ‘The Costs of Managed Code: The Avoidable and the Unavoidable’, ‘What’s New in XNA Game Studio 2.0’ and ‘Pre-Mortem: Torpex Games’ Schizoid’, a pre-release analysis of the development of Schizoid, the first Xbox Live Arcade title to be developed with the XNA framework.

The full schedule of talks is available at the XNA Creator’s Club website. Creator’s Club membership is not required to view the streams, which will also be available for on-demand viewing for a ‘considerable time afterwards.’
