Lifetime sales across all platforms close on 25 million

Minecraft PC hits 10 million sales

Minecraft continues to break new milestones as the PC version hits ten million sales.

Revealing the news on Twitter, Markus ‘Notch’ Persson said the figure also included mac and Linux sales.

Mojang revealed in January that total Minecraft sales had surpassed 20 million, with 15 million copies sold in 2012 alone.

The Pocket edition has sold more than 7.3 million, while the XBLA version has surpassed six million sales, bringing the total now closer to 25 million.

Not content with sitting on its current success, Mojang is set to release a retail version of the title later on April 30th in the US. No details have been given for a European release however.
