MW2 Stimulus Pack breaks PSN records

The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC has set two new download records on PSN, developer Infinity Ward has revealed.

Creative strategist Robert Bowling commented on Twitter: Thanks to the one million-plus PlayStation users who helped the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package break day one and week one download records on PSN.”

Publisher Activision spent 1m promoting the DLC expansion which adds a host of new multiplayer maps to the world’s fastest-selling game.

The Stimulus Package was originally released on Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 30th and May 4th respectively, and suffered technical problems on both consoles during the first few days of release.

Similarly, last year the three Call of Duty: World at War map packs topped the list of premium PSN downloads.
