MW3 loses Xbox Live throne to Minecraft

The biggest franchise in gaming history has been beaten out for unique users on Xbox Live by indie hit Minecraft.

After reigning for nearly a year, Modern Warfare 3 has finally been knocked from the number one spot according to Xbox Live’s Major Nelson.

This may not last for long, as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is due out November 13, but it is nontheless suprising to see a console port of an indie game beat out all AAA competition for the top spot.

Bested games include Fifa 13, Borderlands 2, Madden 13, and Halo Reach.
