Online PS4 prices surge 41% since launch

The price that consumers are willing to pay for PS4 is shooting up as we get closer to Christmas.

New research form price comparison site Idealo.co.uk shows that in mid-September the highest PS4 price that was being clicked on by consumers was 349.99.

By the first week of December, however, this had climbed to 596 – a 41 per cent increase.

As of yesterday the highest clicked price was 599.98.

PS4 has also claimed 75 per cent of all console clicks throughout the period and December this year has shown a 581 per cent click rate increase for consoles compared to the same month in 2012.

The most popular PS4-releated search terms are "where can i get a ps4 for christmas", "ps4 in stock" and "ps4 availability".
