Cloud gaming firm 'ready to work with anyone'

Onlive open to Xbox and Sony partnerships

OnLive has held discussions with representatives of both Sony and Microsoft over a possible console collaboration for the service, an executive at the company has said.

OnLive already has some major publishing partners as well as agreements with key ISPs. Any possible tie-up with either Xbox 360 or PS3, however, would be its most significant development yet.

"Our controller is a hybrid between a PS3 controller and an Xbox controller. It’s all compatible, it would just work," OnLive’s VP of engineering Joe Bentley told CVG.

"There are OnLive guys chatting [Sony and MS], but we’ll see where it goes. But it would absolutely work, we’re ready to work with everybody," Bentley said.
