PS3 price drop at last in Italy

MCV media partner Gamestore Magazine reports that from October 10th Italian gamers will have the choice of a new 40GB PS3 for €399 or the starter pack which includes two games and an extra pad for €499.

The cheaper option works out at around 275 in Sterling, and will have tongues wagging as to the likelihood of a 40GB model and price cut here in the UK.

The news from Italy comes as persistent internet rumours continue to suggest that a cut price 40GB model is set for release in France and Australia.
