PS3 sales rocket by 178 per cent

Week-on-week PS3 hardware sales went up by 178 per cent following the introduction of two new 60GB and 40GB bundles, Chart Track has told MCV.

It was the third biggest PS3 hardware sales week ever – beaten only by the console’s first two weeks on sale back in March this year.

Software sales also saw a boost in Chart Track’s all formats chart, with Resistance: Fall of Man jumping up from 22 to number eight, Heavenly Sword re-entering at 14 and Motorstorm rising from 23 to 18.
