Resident Evil 7 is first entry in series with Western writer

For the first time ever, a Resident Evil game is being penned by a Western writer.

Richard Pearsey, the writer of Spec Ops: The Line and FEAR, is handling writing duties for the brand new entry in Capcom’s horror series. He announced his involvement via Twitter (below).

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was announced on-stage during PlayStation’s E3 2016 press event. It is set for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and can be played in its entirety using PlayStation VR.

As rumoured ahead of its reveal, this new entry in the series is a return to the franchise’s horror roots. A demo is available right now on PSN.
