SingStar PS3 pricing revealed

After a prolonged delay, the PS3 version of Sony’s popular karaoke series SingStar is finally nearing release, and Sony has at last revealed final details about the pricing and availability of extra tracks through the company’s SingStore service.

Additional songs will cost 99p a shot, and SingStore will launch alongside the game on December 7th with a total of 44 tracks. Some will be taken from the PS2 versions of the game, whilst others, from the likes of Manic Street Preachers, Zutons and Depeche Mode, will be brand new offerings.

The online component of the game is fully integrated, and will allow gamers to customise playlists and download tracks whilst they play.

Sony states that the online offering will be regularly updated with new tracks, with a second batch due to arrive on December 17th.

The game itself will retail at 24.99 for the standalone version, whilst those wanting to pick it up with two microphones can do so for 49.99.
