System 3 announces Putty Squad

System 3 has announced it will be releasing a new version of Putty Squad this autumn.

The classic platformer will be available for download on PSN and iTunes, with the latter version being compatible with both iPad and iPhone.

Players once again take on the role of Putty, a small blue blob that can stretch, flatten, absorb and inflate when he needs to in order to tackle enemies and progress through the levels.

The game follows Putty as he traverse through old-school platforming worlds on a mission to rescue his kidnapped friends.

Putty Squad was hugely popular back in the days of the Amiga, accruing high scores across the board.
