Too Human demo confirmed for tonight

Alongside talk of a

possible new Geometry Wars title hitting the Xbox Live servers tonight

, Microsoft has confirmed that a playable demo of Silicon Knights’ upcoming Too Human will go live in conjunction with the platform holder’s E3 press conference at 18:30 this evening.

Too Human has been in development since 1999, and was originally announced as a four-disc adventure for Sony’s first PlayStation, though shortly after it was first revealed it then became a GameCube exclusive. After a prolonged period of silence, in 2005 a new exclusivity deal with Microsoft and the Xbox 360 was announced.

The title was originally being developed using Epic’s Unreal Engine 3, but following a very public dispute between Epic and Silicon Knights the developer shifted the game to a new in-house engine.

Too Human was originally announced as the first part of a console trilogy, the likelihood of which surely rests on the success of the first title, which is due out at the end of August.

UPDATE:
The demo has in fact already cropped up on Xbox Live.
