UPDATE: Sega confirms Yakuza 5 western release for next month

Yakuza 5 will launch in the west next month, Sega has confirmed

Ablog posttitled Top 5 Movies to Get Hyped for Yakuza 5” buries the lede of the PS3 title’s planned mid-November release for western territories.

The new window is the result of a delay caused by "a few weird development bugs that popped up in localization” – specifically from pieces of the game’s Japanese text that weren’t properly translating to English.

Yakuza 5 initially launched in Japan on December 6th, 2012. The sequel first received official word of a western release last year.

UPDATE: Sega has edited the blog post to remove Yakuza 5’s mid-November release window, adding: Once we have details, we’ll make sure to share them!”
