US: Wireless Wii guitars recalled

It has emerged that the US Consumer Product Safety Commission has

issued a recall

on a range of wireless Wii guitars made by manufacturer Rage,

Edge Online

reports.

The move came after one of the accessories gave its owner a battery acid burn. The problem has been linked to defective circuit boards. It is estimated that nearly 60,000 units have already been sold in North America.

Consumers already in possession of the device are urged to return it to the retailer from which it was purchased, who will in turn fully refund the goods.
