Zynga platform hits open beta

Just a few days after Zynga revealed its platform would hit beta sometime this month, the company has went ahead and launched Zynga.com.

Dubbed ‘a new playground for social games’,the open beta version of the platform currently offersusers five games to play: CastleVille, CityVille, Hidden Chronicles, Words with Friends, and Zynga Poker.

While some of the site’s functionality isn’t live quite yet, players can set up Zynga profiles, add friends, chat, and look over game stats.

Currently, Zynga.com already boasts over 1.2m people playing.
