"Core gamers follow games regardless of platform"

Core gamers largely don’t care about platforms when it comes to seeking out the best titles out there, according to XSEED.

In fact, The Last Story publisher is banking on it; hoping their RPG’s US release on the long past its prime Wii console will hold true with the notion.

We definitely feel that the core gamers that play RPGs are the most likely to follow the best games regardless of the system, so hopefully that will hold true for The Last Story’s release on Wii,” XSEED’s executive VP Ken Berry told GamesIndustry.

I know some people have started counting out the Wii already, but hopefully this release will show that there is still a lot of impressive things that hardware can do when the right game is running on it.”

The Last Story launched in Japan early last year, arrived in Europe earlier this year, and just this week makes its debut in US.
