Countdown to Cologne

The inaugural Gamescom trade fair takes place in just over two weeks.

For those planning to go – and those who still need convincing – we’ve put together a special preview to the event and Cologne city guide.

This six-page supplement details everything you need to know about what is happening in Cologne through what is shaping up to be a week-long games industry festival.

Details on how to get to and around Cologne, the key hotels (and places to sample all that renowned German Kolsch) – plus, most importantly, a round-up of all the games-related events and a list of the 300+ exhibitors, can be found in the guide.

Gamescom itself takes place from August 19th to August 23rd in Cologne, Germany at the Koelnmesse convention centre. The expo will over both the industry and consumers the chance to see new releases. It’s also preceded by GDC Europe, a three day developer event.

A special edition of MCV filled with high-profile promotional opportunities is also being produced for distribution at the event, contact Rob.Baker@intentmedia.co.uk to get involved.
