The subscription model of Crytek’s CryEngine is now available to purchase on Steam, the digital distributor has announced.
Access is available in three different subscription tiers:
Crytek revealed plans for its engine’s subscription option back in March, explaining that subscribers gain full access to all CRYENGINE tools and documentation – though not the source code, which still will require a professional development license.
As the company previously stated, no royalties will be taken on commercial products created using the service.
