Crytek working on new shooter IP

Reports have emerged that Crytek is developing a brand new shooter IP for the current generation of consoles.

The LinkedIn profile of gameplay and animation programmer David Ramos contains a reference to a "new IP, shooter genre, TBA title for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC".

It was spotted by Superannuation. Interestingly, the profile also references a cancelled third-person shooter for the same platforms.

The studio is currently working on Ryse, a hack ‘n’ slash action game for Kinect. It is best know for its work on the original Far Cry and the Crysis series.

Its latest release, Crysis 2, was released earlier this year.
