Dance Central 2 spin-off app hits iOS

Microsoft has launched the Dance Central 2 Dance Cam app which lets users appear in customisable music videos.

The free download for iPhone, Android and Windows Phone 7 smartphones lets users record themselves or their friends dancing. Videos can be edited and shared, with smartphone owners able to challenge each other to virtual dance-offs.

Dance Central 2’s Dance Cam has a range of songs including ‘Bulletproof’ by La Roux, Far East Movement’s ‘Like a G6′ and Montell Jordan’s ‘This is How We Do It’.

Microsoft’s Dance Central 2 arrived on Xbox 360 Kinect last year. The game’s creators, Harmonix, developed the first two Guitar Hero games and went on to build the Rock Band franchise.
