Dark Souls 2 dev promises short wait for PC version

The gap between and console and PC releases of Dark Souls 2 should me measured in weeks and not months.

That’s according to the game’s producer Takeshi Miyazoe who told Digital Spy that the PC SKU should hit shelves shortly after” the game’s arrival on Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 14th.

"It’s tough to say," he said. "We’re still working on it at this point. I’m not going to say months. I hope it’s weeks.

"We did do the PC port [of the first Dark Souls] based on the fan petition and fan feedback. We were really happy for that, and we did our best to try and support the game as best as possible.

"But at the same time, we did realise the PC fan base and the PC audience really have high expectations for what a PC game should be. So for Dark Souls 2, we’ll do our best to try and fulfill the basics of what the game should have."
