Darksiders II retail release date revealed

THQ has announced Vigil Games’ sequel Darksiders II will launch on August 14th.

"We look forward to launching Darksiders [II] beginning on August 14 in North America," revealed THQ CEO Brian Farrell during an investor conference call earlier today.

The action adventure title was previously delayed from a late June launch to the August window. Farrell stated that the delay was a demonstration of our commitment to quality.”

Farrel also noted that pre-orders for Darksiders II have more than quintupled the original title’s numbers at the same point prior to release. THQ plans to drape the launch in double the marketing budget of the first game.
