Dawn of War II: Retribution revealed

THQ has announced a brand new stand-alone expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II. Named Retribution, it’s due out in Q1 2011.

The game is set years after the game’s last expansion, Chaos Rising, and sees the Imperium struggling to regain control of Sub-Sector Aurelia.

Retribution offers the series’ first multiple-race single player campaign. A number of new multiplayer maps and units – as well as a completely new playable faction – are also included.

We all love the Blood Ravens here at Relic Entertainment,” the game’s producer Jeff Lydell stated.

But there are also a lot of fans of the other races and armies out there so we decided that Retribution should allow the player the freedom to experience the campaign from the perspective they select.”
