DeNA cuts jobs at North American studios

Japanese publisher DeNA has laid of an unspecified but reportedly significant number of employees in the US.

Most of the layoffs appear to be from its Vancouver development studio, according toVentureBeat. However, the site’s sources also suggest the firm has laid off dozens” from its San Francisco office as well.

The redundancies have come as something of a surprise given the recent announcement of a major partnership with Nintendo to bring the platform holder’s IP to mobile. DeNA has explained the job cuts as part of a restructure.
