Disney "extremely happy" with early Disney Infinity performance

Chief financial officer Jay Rasulo has said Disney is extremely happy” with the early commercial performance of Disney Infinity.

Polygon reports that the exec told an audience at the 2013 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference that hopes are incredibly high heading in to Christmas.

"I don’t want to be definitive about something that is in its early days,” he stated. But if you think about a really great product that has come out recently that had some similarities to Infinity, which is Skylanders, our sales have been on par with that even though we launched in August and they do theirs in September or October.

"We’re on that scale, maybe better."

Rasulo added that average age of the game’s players is 13 – a little older than expected – and that a certain per cent” of players are aged 20 and over. PS3 and Xbox 360 were also named as the game’s best-selling platforms.
