Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes confirmed, adds PS4 and Xbox One

Disney has officially announced Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes as the next iteration of the company’s popular toy and game hybrid franchise.

The second coming of Infinity was originally spotted in a teaser trailer earlier this month that apparently arrived a bit ahead of schedule.

2.0 features six characters so far: Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Iron Man and Hawkeye. A trailer for the game also revealed future characters, such as Spider-Man and Loki.

Along with the game’s current platforms – 3DS, Wii, Wii U, PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and iOS – Disney Infinity 2.0 will launch for PS4 and Xbox One consoles as well.

With the announcement of Marvel Super Heroes, Disney further revealed that Infinity has sold more than 3m starter packs – adding that the franchise has netted $500m to date.
