DoDonPachi for WP7 released this week

Cave’s debut title for Windows Phone 7 will be released in just two days.

Andriasang has confirmed a March 7th release date for DoDonPachi Maximum. It will retail in the country for 435 (around 3.40) and be available via the handset’s Xbox Live Marketplace.

As has been the case with Cave’s releases on iOS, the game will be familiar to fans of the shmup genre but will boast simplified controls designed for touch-screen handsets.

The next Cave game to be released in the UK will be Xbox 360 port Akai Katana, which will be published by Rising Star Games this summer, although there is a new DoDonPachi iOS game in the works that could appear beforehand.
