Dom Joly to host MCV Awards

Hello! Dom Joly, Trigger Happy creator, top prankster and all round funny man will be hosting this year’s MCV Awards.

Taking place at The Brewery on the evening of April 22nd, there’ll be a special prize for the first champion of originality to shout his catchphrase. The one he hasn’t used for about 83 years. We’ve checked with his ‘people’ and, honestly, he bloody loves it.

Since his work on Trigger Happy, Joly has gone on to make BBC1’s Shut Your Mouth and This Is Dom Joly on BBC3. He also wrote and presented Sky’s Dom Joly’s Happy Hour and was the presenter of The Complainers on Five.

Aside from his TV work, Joly is also an award-winning travel writer for The Sunday Times. He also has a weekly column in The Independent on Sunday.
