Draw Something surpasses 50 million downloads

OMGPOP’s Draw Something has retaken the App Store’s top paid app spot, flying by the 50m download mark and overtaking Angry Birds Space in the process.

Zynga (via USAToday) has revealed the game is the fastest growing original mobile title ever.

The social and mobile game corporation dropped over $180m to purchase OMGPOP and the rights to Draw Something, and it seems to be paying off just as they expected.

So far over six billion drawings have been created, which works out to roughly 3,000 drawings per second.

The game currently boasts over 20 million monthly active users.
