E3 08: Portal ‘sequel’ confirmed for XBLA

Valve will be releasing a ‘sequel’ to Portal, dubbed Portal: Still Alive, exclusively on Xbox Live Arcade and PC this year in a move that prompted huge cheers from the assembled media at Microsoft’s E3 Media Briefing this morning.

The new title will feature an exciting new challenge mode, as well as the full version of the original game.

The cult original was widely hailed by the specialist press and the new title will be seen as a major coup for Microsoft’s online platform.

Alongside Portal: Still Alive, the crowd was treated to Resident Evil 5, Fallout 3, Fable II, Gears of War 2 and several others.
