E3 08: South Park game coming to 360

A South Park game will arrive on Xbox Live Arcade next year – and will be flanked by sequels to two classic titles.

Nothing is yet known on the title, which draws its inspiration from Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s popular satirical cartoon, but Microsoft at least confirmed at its E3 media briefing today that it is on the way.

It was left to the show’s tubby Cartman to reveal its existence, simply stating: Can we please, just get back to playing our video game, please,” over the public address system.

In addition, Microsoft confirmed that a sequel to Geometry Wars was in development for the platform, and was being created by Activision-owned studio Bizarre Creations, the team behind Project Gotham Racing.

The first true sequel” to arcade classic Galaga was also shown off. The game is being created by Namco Bandai for XBLA.
