EB EXPO countdown begins…

Australia’s largest ever videogame convention, the EB EXPO, is taking place in less than 3 weeks on the Gold Coast, and boasts a huge lineup of major titles and developers.

EB Games has already sold out of VIP tickets (which cost AUD$99.95), and are running out fast of standard tickets (which are AUD$29.95). Punters can check out the web site, view the recently released map of the showgrounds or buy tickets as the show approaches.

All big hitters releasing this year are going to be in attendance, with attendees being able to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 back-to-back – the only place both titles will be playable before release all year.

Also dropping in 2011 are massive titles including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Batman: Arkham City and Need for Speed: The Run.

Perhaps more importantly, several titles not due out until early 2012 will be on show, including Star Wars Kinect, The Darkness 2, UFC: Undisputed 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Mass Effect 3.

The show will be punctuated by ‘exciting live presentations from international game developers’, a cosplay competition and a massive live freestyle motocross performance at the EB Arena Spectacular, with a special grand finale show to cap it all off.

The EB EXPO takes place at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on 15th and 16th October.
