eBay teams up with Argos for click & collect service

Consumers will soon be able to choose for some of their eBay purchases to be collected from Argos stores rather than be delivered to their doors.

Mobile Money Revolution reports that the auction site is allowing its top 50 merchants to have its orders dropped off at 150 of Argos’ 740 UK stores. Customers can then pick them up at a time that suits them.

More stores will be added to the offer over time.

The auction site is doing this, it says, as 40 per cent of UK shoppers used click and collect in some form during Christmas last year.

The changes come as part of what eBay is describing as its biggest re-launch to date” that will offer, amongst other things, ‘no-quibble refunds’ and one hour order and delivery service ‘eBay Now’.
