Epic announces Infinity Blade

Epic Games has announced its first iPhone game will now be called Infinity Blade.

The title was previously known as Project Sword, and will be the first game to use the iPhone version of Unreal Engine 3.

A playable demo of what the engine is capable of was – entitled Epic Citadel – grabbed headlines earlier this year.

Epic announced that Infinity Blade will be available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch this holiday, but there is no word on price or a specific date.

Infinity Blade will be an action-RPG sword fighting adventure” with touchscreen battles and free content updates. A multiplayer mode with Game Center compatability is also in the works.
