ESA announces free consumer E3 Live event

E3 is opening its doors to consumers… sort of.

Organisers the ESA have announced a brand new event called E3 Live. This is a free event for consumers being held at LA Live – right next to the LA Convention Center, which is the location of E3.

The event opens on Tuesday, June 14th and closes on June 16th. Its website promises games, live entertainment, interactive experiences and exclusive merchandise.

Alienware, Facebook/Oculus, HTC Vive, Loot Crate, Monster, Twitch, Ubisoft and Warner Bros will be showing off games at E3 Live.

This followsthe ESA telling MCV it was considering inviting consumersto E3 earlier this year.

The biggest event in video games is bringing gamers to the next level. We are excited to introduce E3 Live, a new, high-energy video game event that brings some of the best in video games directly to fans,” said ESA president and CEO Michael D. Gallagher.

”E3 Live will give gamers the chance to test-drive exciting games, interact with some of their favorite developers, and be among the first in the world to enjoy groundbreaking game experiences. For fans of video games, this will be an event like no other.”
