Asian collaboration lecture set for GDC Europe

A key lecture offering insight into the success of Chinese game companies is set to take place at this year’s GDC Europe event.

Tencent Games vice president of business development, Bo Wang, will bring to the conference advice on how western developers and business can collaborate with Asian firms.

The lecture will mark Tencent’s first in the West, and will draw upon lessons learnt from one of the largest online gaming companies and virtual currency providers in China.

Wang will also outline the firm’s business plans for the future.

GDC Europe will again be held in conjunction with gamescom, Europe’s largest computer and video games trade show for consumers and professionals. There will be forums forlearning, networking, business and inspiration.

The event is set to open for three days from Monday 16 August.
