Dark Souls II pre-orders 50% up over original

Namco Bandai has revealed pre-orders for Dark Souls II are 50 per cent up on its predecessor.

And this is before the publisher’s main ad campaign kicks in. The firm has put a massive 1m into marketing the game to a mainstream audience.

We have everything going for Dark Souls II. The PR and community teams have been incredibly hard at work since the game was first revealed,” said Namco Bandai product manager Gary Chantler.

They have been working like mad getting the game through the specialist and mainstream press channels.

Dark Souls II debuts on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 14th with the PC release to follow at a later date in the hopefully not too distant future.
