E3 2011: Bioshock PS Vita ‘is all-new game’

Ken Levine has said that the BioShock Vita project currently in-development at Irrational Games will be a new title for the IP.

Speaking to IGN, the studio’s creative director was keen to make it clear that the game was an all-new core entry in the BioShock universe, and not a port of any existing BioShock games or upcoming home console title BioShock Infinite.

"It’s a different project. It’s its own thing being built from the ground up," he said.

"That is going to be strange and surprising to people. I think we always want to surprise people. If I’m just saying ‘here’s BioShock 1 on Vita’, that’s something we could potentially do, but you don’t need us to do that. Somebody can make that happen."
