Gamescom schedule confirmed

Attendees at Gamescom 2010 can now view the schedule of key events with dates and times of press conferences, tournaments and more.

The show runs from August 18th to 22nd with Tuesday 17th dedicated to members of the press.

Here’s the full events schedule:

Tuesday August 17th

– 12.30pm – Microsoft press event
– 4pm – EA press event
– 7pm – Sony press event

Note: all the above events are invite only.

Wednesday August 18th

– 9am – Opening press conference of Gamescom 2010
– 10am – Breakfast for the press with EA
– 10am – Analysing the rise and fall of online gaming fraud
– 11am – Konami press conference
-12 noon – Diablo III media Q&A with Blizzard Entertainment
– 1pm – New seal of approval for games: Educationally valuable”
– 2pm – Deep Silver / Koch Media press conference
– 4pm – NCSoft West press conference
– 4pm – Razer press conference
– 6.30pm – Official opening of Gamescom 10
– 7pm – Opening concert of Gamescom Festival

Thursday August 19th

Game Devs of Color Expo (GDoCExpo) has revealed the full schedule for its online conference, running September 22–25. Organized by the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Game Devs of Color, the four-day event kicks off Tuesday, September 22 with a full day of online networking and social programming, including career and publishing conversations, a speaker & developer mixer, structured networking sessions, and Community Demo Night. Conference programming runs Wednesday through Friday, featuring 38 sessions from more than 40 speakers across three daily themes: "Craft and Culture" (Wed), "Building for the Future" (Thu), and "Humanity Through Games" (Fri).
