Gears of War 4 eSports Producer Jack Felling Says eSports Are ‘Here to Stay’

Gears of War 4 is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2016. Consumer expectations are sure to soar now that the beta has begun. The Coalition, which took over Gears development duties after Microsoft acquired the franchise in 2014, has been working hard to produce a triple-A sequel that plays as good as it looks.

Thus far, the company seems to be succeeding. And if eSports Producer Jack Felling has anything to say about it, Gears of War 4 will become a leading force in the world of competitive gaming.

I think eSports are here to stay,” said Felling. Everybody wants to get into it. Bigger and bigger sponsors are looking into it. More developers are looking at it. It’s becoming a huge thing.”
