Glu sued, accused of stealing Kim Kardashian game idea

Just Games Interactive Entertainment has accused mobile games publisher Glu Mobile of stealing its idea for a Kim Kardashian game.

The Associated Press reports that Just Games claims to have prepared a detailed pitch” for a Kardashian title for a representative of Kim Kardashian’s mother and manager, Kris Jenner. Just claims that several aspects of its title were incorporated into Glu’s game.

Glu views this complaint as completely frivolous,” a rep for the company told GameSpot. We were never contacted by, or even heard of, the plaintiff before they filed this complaint. Glu independently created Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and we will defend ourselves vigorously in this matter.”

Just is seeking $10m in damages.

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood has been a massive hit for Glu, helping it last year to its best ever quarter. As a result the pair have extended their partnership until 2019.

Online giant Tencent acquired a significant stake in Glu earlier this year.
